"Sharonview Cares, our charitable giving arm, is committed to providing support to local nonprofits whose mission is focused on financial literacy education, eradicating homelessness and alleviating hunger in the communities we serve," said Rondel Hartwell, VP of Marketing at Sharonview Federal Credit Union. "We are honored to support local community partners whose missions align with our corporate charitable giving pillars."

The checks were presented to recipients during a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Sharonview’s newest location in Simpsonville’s Martin Farms Shopping Center at 710 Fairview Road. The new Simpsonville location features a barn-style design to pay homage to the land’s roots as the Martin Family Farm. The site has grown and developed over the years from what was once vast farmland, with this branch being one of the latest additions.

“The Sharonview team is excited to have the opportunity to bring our services to the outstanding community of Simpsonville,” said Craig Valdes, Branch Manager of the Simpsonville location. “We aim to help our members improve their financial standing while embracing the history of the Martin Family Farm through this new location.”

In Otey’s expanded role, his responsibilities now include leading and influencing day-to-day operations, culture and strategic leadership of Sharonview. He will articulate company and member needs and plans to the Executive Leadership Team and to the Board of Directors. Additionally, he will have direct oversight and management of various lines of business, as well as be responsible for the delivery of member experience, growth of our core business and effective execution of Sharonview’s strategic plans and objectives.
