[Fort Mill, S.C.] – Sharonview Federal Credit Union, a longstanding financial institution in the North and South Carolina communities for nearly 70 years, is excited to share that its CEO was recently named a board member for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Piedmont - Tri County Chapter
When building Sharonview’s strategic plan for 2022 and beyond, White incorporated mental health advocacy into the community pillars. This pillar is in alignment with others, including alleviating hunger and ending homelessness, to reach the goal of improving the communities the company serves.
“Mental health awareness is near and dear to my heart as I have experienced it firsthand within my own family,” said White. “My personal experience led me to a desire to open the dialogue in the workplace and minimize the stigma that comes along with a mental illness. I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve in a larger capacity through my local NAMI organization.”
“Herb’s passion for accessibility and inclusivity is inspiring, and we are incredibly lucky to have him as a leader for our organization,” said Helen Griffith, Vice President, Marketing. “We know he will continue to do great work within our communities as a board member with NAMI Piedmont Tri-County Chapter.”
