Press Release 2023-3-28, Indian Land, S.C.

Sharonview Federal Credit Union, one of the nation’s top 200 credit unions, is proud to announce the promotion of Melissa Breaux to Chief Financial Officer.

During Sharonview’s nationwide search for a CFO, Breaux served as interim CFO and now, in this permanent capacity, she will direct the overall financial plans of the credit union, including overseeing Sharonview’s accounting, treasury, budget and audit activities.

“Melissa understands our business and embodies our member-centric culture. We are excited for strategic leadership and oversight of Sharonview’s financial well-being,” said Herb White, president and CEO.

She will also join the Executive Leadership Team and play a key role in communicating Sharonview’s financial needs and goals to its Board of Directors and in crafting the organization’s future.

Breaux joined Sharonview in 2019 as Vice President of Finance, a role which she had held until now. Previously, she served as CFO of the financial services division at NTT Data, Inc. She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Alabama. Later, after moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, she earned her Master of Business Administration from the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. In 2016, she was recognized as one of Charlotte’s Women in Business by Charlotte Business Journal.

Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Breaux lives in Charlotte with her husband and two children.
